10/10/2001 Entry: "Warren Adler page explained"
I recently reported that Warren Adler offers DRM2 eBooks but requires MS Reader Activation (check out my discussion board for more). I discussed this with Mrs. Kelly Allen and suggested her to write an explanation on their purchase page. Without this it was really confusing and there was no confirmation anywhere that the .lit eBook you are going to purchase really is DRM2/3 and therefore PocketPC compatible. They added the following line:
"All our Reader books have DRM2 level security and are therefore PocketPC compatible. We only require Microsoft Reader activation for your bookshelf so you can return for your eBooks any time you desire."
Why they chose this way for managing their bookshelves is still a mistery to me, but you now have a confirmation that the book you are buying really is DRM2.
You can currently pourchase most of Warren Adler eBooks at a reduced price: $5.95. And don't forget to check out my interactive eBooks page - I recently added a short review of Trans-Siberian Express. You are welcome to vote for it and post your own comments.
Happy reading!
