Welcome to my HomePage! You are probably wondering why Ojster.com? Ojster is my nickname and it is a kind of short version of my surname ( in a dialect - that's the reason for letter j ) - they called me by this name at collage and it is pronounced same as Oyster.
What can you find on these pages? It's about what I like and do in my free time. You can find eBook commentaries and links to eBook related sites (especially for .lit formatted eBooks), Dashboard skins, images for Today's The Day program and PocketPC related links. I have my own Photo Gallery with mostly nature photos, but it's not just nature - check it out - it will be time well spent! I also have my own discussion board where you can find/post discount codes, eBook commentaries, comments and suggestions concerning my photography and skin creations.

Don't forget to bookmark now!

You can also reach my page via http://www.PocketPCstuff.com. Currently both URL's bring you to the same page.

Author David Moody is offering his "Straight to you" hardcover book for 9GBP - there are only a few copies left and all of them are signed by him. I read this book in an electronic version and I just purchased a hardcover copy for myself and my coleague ;) You will not have to pay for the postage and packing. Everything is included. You can read more about the book here: Straight to You

I suggest you to grab one till they last :) They are going fast and it really is a great book - you can also buy it as a gift for a loved one.

He also has special prices for all other books till the end of this year. Visit his online store!

Happy reading!

Well, good news is I just got paid by HitzPay for the first time. This surely is a good sign and if all my investments proceed this way (I am mostly counting on 12dailypro) and last long enough, I will get some money to buy eBooks and perhaps even some electronic gadgets - well this is me in optimistic mode :p

In this case I will not have to worry about additional tax charges for Europe - or I might even get a virtual Credit Card with an US address and get rid of these taxes once and for all.

Well, among other programs mentioned last time I also joined 12dailypro as I have information from two sources that this is a stable program - well as stable as it can get with this height of return ;) In six days my first 12 day period will be over and I will report here when I get paid my first amount. Good thing about this investment is that your money is tied in it for only 12 days. So you don't have to wait a whole month or even more. And they just received NetIBA Certificate so this adds some extra safety.

If you are interested you can check out the website here.

I am counting on this program to help me return my overall initial investment in a short period of time.

Well, after quite a while I decided to buy another eBook. And to my surprise I found that diferent ebook stores add various tax percentage to the purchased amount for European customers.

This is very, very strange! If I buy an eBook on Fictionwise they will charge me $17.95 + 20% EU TAX which sums up to $21.54. Insane!

If I buy the same book at eReader.com it would cost me $14.54 with a discount code, but they also add EU TAX which is 17.5% in this case and all this sums up to $17.08

Our tax for books is actually 8% if you buy a book in local store. Who gets this tax when you pay to Fictionwise or eReader? Is this their pocket money? Do they transfer it to the European Union? I would really like to know that. And why such diffferences between stores?

And if I buy a book from amazon US - a hardcover version - it would cost me $15.99 + $4.49 what sums up to $20.48 delivered to my doorstep, as I do not have to pay any TAX as value is low enough to get through customs freely.

Add this to the confusion: Mobipocket eBook store does not charge any tax at all :) Well, isn't this great?!

Is there any sense in this at all?
